The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space (CHWS) is a community mental health service designed to support individuals in managing their mental health and overall well-being. It is a collaborative initiative between Mind in Croydon, the Croydon BME Forum, and the NHS. This service is free to access and aims to provide holistic support to individuals, focusing on areas such as mental health, physical well-being, housing, finances, and employment.

Services Offered

  • Mental Health Support: Assistance with overcoming barriers to managing mental health and fostering independence.
  • Practical Help: Guidance with welfare benefits, housing issues, and money management.
    Employment and Education: Resources for training, education, and finding work.
  • Crisis Support: Access to resources and help during times of mental health crises.
    Access and Referral
  • Self-Referral: Individuals can visit the center directly or use the online platform to request support.
  • Professional Referral: Healthcare providers, including care coordinators, can submit referrals.
  • Partner Organizations: Referrals can also be made through associated partners.
